      <title>Updated VA/DoD Bi-Polar Disorder Clinical Practice Guideline</title>
      <description>
        The VHA and Department of Defense (DoD) have collaboratively developed evidence-based clinical practice guidelines since the 1990s.  Guidelines provide evidence-based information to support provider and patient decision making regarding the best plan of care for a particular condition.  A newly updated VA/DoD guideline is the VA/DoD Bi-Polar Disorder Clinical Practice Guideline. The VA/DoD Management of Diabetes Mellitus in Primary Care guideline provides information that is evidence-based and unbiased by conflict of interest.  The guideline supports shared provider and patient decision making, assisting the incorporation of patient preferences into an agreed upon care plan for veterans with diabetes.
